I can't believe it's been three months since my last blog post. To be honest, I have been in a slump. I am stuck between having too many ideas that I don't know where to start and feeling like I have no ideas at all. Sometimes I have felt like I have had no motivation to keep going and that my well of inspiration has ran dry. I'm glad to be back, and I hope to keep writing and sharing life from an honest place—less performative and more authentic.

I've been learning a lot lately and some lessons surely haven't been easy.

Growth is good but sometimes it's also painful. Something I have been learning about lately is the humility of Christ and how it's displayed in His people. This is something that tugs at my heartstrings (perhaps because humility is something I have felt like I have struggled with) so when I see it in other people it moves me greatly this is definitely something I hope to speak more about in future posts.

I've been trying to be more intentional with my time and not let life just pass me by. It's so easy to be consumed by the world online that we don't realize that the one thing that we will never get back (time) is passing by. Being intentional with time doesn't necessarily mean doing more with your time, sometimes it means being fully present, putting the phone away for a moment and fully immersing yourself in whatever you are doing. Some of the ways that I've enjoyed spending my time lately are playing beach volleyball weekly, going to the library more often, visiting museums, spending quality time with friends, and I've even gotten the opportunity to host more. It has been such a joy! I am overwhelmed with gratitude for my life and all these special moments.

1. Sunday brunch at home with the loveliest people

2. An oil painting that I loved at the museum

I recently had an interaction with someone who was getting out of jail, and I asked him, "What is the first thing you will do when you get out?" He said, "Play with my kids, get a job, and live a normal life." Those words were so simple yet so impactful to me. The simple things truly mean so much.

I hope that this inspired you and blessed you! With lots and lots of love,

I am always extremely blessed and inspired by your blogs! I’m glad you pushed through and produced this wonderful piece! I will take this challenge to be present in my life as well, and choose not to let time fly past me but present with the way I use my time. Thank you for the wonderful piece! That food looked amazing! Perhaps a post on brunch essentials? Love you lots 💕✨
