The Greatest Creator of All Time

A reflection on birthdays

Following my recent birthday celebration, I have been reflecting on life and everything it entails.

I love birthdays. Throughout the years, my affection for birthdays has only deepened, embracing the joy, laughter, love, and the delightful chocolate cake they bring.

However, I have recently developed a deeper understanding and admiration for them.

I want to ask you to take this moment and think of the most exquisite creation imaginable. Whether it is the stars, moon, sunset, flowers, anything.! Then, shift your thoughts to yourself... You are so intricately designed, every aspect of your existence is known.

There might be moments when you feel overlooked, perhaps you don't attract attention when entering a room, or maybe nobody truly acknowledges you. You feel alone, underappreciated and even invisible. Perhaps you never finished High school, you never got that award/recognition that you desired. You never achieved great success in life, and circumstances led you to a job that brought you shame and living a life far from glamorous. According to society, the money, popularity, luxury and glamour are what define your worth. Thus you find yourself feeling like the bottom of the barrel, alone, ashamed, and even worthless.

But wait...

Did you know that there is One who knows you and notices you when you feel like no one around you sees you? There is One who's love for you is so incredibly complex and deep that even the wisest scholars cannot comprehend it. Did you know that you were crafted and designed by the Greatest Creator of All Time? How could He ever forget you? The one that made the stars, moon, the beautiful sunset. The one who created the universe and all its grandeur, the creator of the most exquisite creation imaginable had you in mind. There is no denying how special you are.

Do not be deceived by the world; stand firm in the truth that indeed you are truly special.

I love birthdays because they remind me that the Greatest Creator of All Time thought about me, how special is that?  

Psalm 139:13-14

"For you formed my inward parts; you knitted me together in my mother's womb. I praise you, for I am fearfully and wonderfully made. Wonderful are your works; my soul knows it very well."
